A 40-year-old Westlake man was caught putting his garbage into Detroit Road's nearby apartment house’s dumpster on July 4 at 5:33PM.
When confronted by the 62-year-old male manager, the suspect, Scott Conforto, drove off, striking the manager with his 2006 Kia Sedona.
The manager was transported to St. John Medical Center for treatment of a possible broken arm and dislocated shoulder. Conforto was arrested by Westlake Police for Trespass, Illegal Dumping and Hit Skip, all misdemeanors. He was arraigned in Rocky River Municipal Court July 5.

On July 8, Conforto’s attorney filed a plea of not guilty to all charges.
