Drunk 13-Year-Old Girl Causes Disturbance at Intersection: In the Blotters
The following information is from the Westlake Police Department's incident reports. They do not represent, unless noted, an arrest or conviction.
A drunk 13-year-old Westlake girl was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct on June 27 at 10:24 p.m. after creating a disturbance at Dover Center and Detroit roads. She was turned over to her parents.
The girl was not alone in her escapade: A 16-year-old Westlake boy with her was cited by Westlake Police for possession of marijuana and turned over to his mother. Two other juveniles present were apparently a little more cautious. Neither appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and were sent home with a parent without any charges.

Also in the blotters: Bicycles, cell phone are stolen
A number of bicycles were found to be missing from a Westown Boulevard common carport around June 23. Two owners have come forward to file reports about a cobalt blue men’s mountain model, valued at $80 and a 20- in. Next Stastic BMX, black/silver/turquoise, valued at $50. The locks securing them had been cut and a taunting note left behind. A suspect was interviewed and denied involvement.

A $500 Thule 2-bicycle rack was stolen off the roof of a Trotters Ridge man’s Kia Rio on the night of June 25. It had been parked in his apartment lot. There are no suspects.
A home under construction on Bur Oak Drive was the scene of an overnight theft of tools. Unknown suspect(s) kicked in a wall of the locked house on the night of June 26 and took hand and power tools belonging to several workers; they are compiling an inventory. A U-Haul truck was seen nearby around 11 p.m. on June 26.
A $300 cell phone was stolen from a Detroit Road business on June 25. It belonged to an employee; a would-be customer is a suspect. The investigation continues.
