WHS Artists Take Home Top Prizes From Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Project

Twenty six students will have their works displayed at the Great Lakes Science Center next month.

Twenty-six Westlake High School participated in the Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Project and walked away with top prizes. The 26 students, working under the guidance art teachers Christine Filmer and Kelly Atkinson, produced works mirroring the research of fellow students Andie DeMarsh and Lauren Choban DeMarsh studied mother/baby bonding, while Choban studied concussions as summer science interns with the Cleveland Clinic.  Grace Galvin won a blue ribbon and Best of Show for a mixed media and ceramic skull sculpture on the concept of Choban's concussion research.
