Last Chance to See "Wizard of Oz" at Performing Arts Center

Play is one of many things to do around town this weekend

This weekend is your last chance to catch Westlake High School's Center State Players in The Wizard of Oz at the Performing Arts Center. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings, with a Sunday matinee. Enjoy a family-friendly afternoon with the kids at a benefit for the Isaiah Project at Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve at 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be entertainment, an art show, raffles, crafts, caricature drawing, a pizza sale and a bake sale. Help an area family help other parents who have lost a child at Saturday's Abbey Rose Foundation benefit at Westlake Christian Church. Start Holiday Shopping This Weekend

Shop local artists, crafters at these holiday bazaars and charity events.

Westlake Junior Womens Club is holding its Basket of Treasures holiday craft show from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Westlake High School. The event raises money for the club to donate to local charities. No strollers allowed. Gifts Unlimited is holiding its holiday open house this weekend. Enjoy discounts on merchandise while checking out gifts and holiday decor. Head over to Lakewood for another shopping opportunity at the vendor & craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church. In addition to handcrafted items, top brands like Pampered Chef and Avon will also be available to buy. Admission is free.
