Sky Zone Trampoline Makes Jump to Westlake

The indoor trampoline park is scheduled to open in June, according to our partners at WEWS News Channel 5.

Westlake children will flip when they find out about a new business coming to Westlake. Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, is expected to open on Viking Parkway in June, according to our partners at WEWS News Channel 5. The 29,000 square foot facility includes trampoline dodge ball and basketball, as well as a foam pit. Sky Zone also offers “SkyRobics”, which is a fitness classes that claims to burn up to 1,000 calories. Sky Zone will hire 70 workers at the Westlake park for its June opening. Hot Mama! Boutique for Moms Coming to Westlake

Store focused on trendy maternity clothes is set to open at Crocker Park in in March.

Crocker Park is getting greater Cleveland's first Hot Mama boutique. The Edina, Minn.-based company signed a lease for a store here, with a March 2013 opening planned. "We go where the moms are," said Hot Mama founder Megan Tamte. "We want to be in the neighborhoods where moms hang out. That's why we going to be at Crocker Park." While Hot Mama caters to moms, don't expect to find Mom Jeans. Hot Mama is about on-trend clothes and accessories for moms who want to look in style, but don't want to look like a teenager. The Hot Mama look includes everything from leopard-print leggings to a slinky red dress to a cute jacket. "We're about helping moms take some time for themselves," Tamte said. "Moms are important. They take care of everyone. …

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt Plans Store at Crocker Park

The self-serve fro-yo store offers lots of mix-ins and charges by weight.

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is making plans to open a store at Crocker Park. Developers have submitted design plans, which the city Planning Commission has recommended for City Council approval. The national chain is looking at a spot on Main Street, right between Jos. A. Bank and Michael Symon's newest B Spot restaurant. The storefront is currently occupied by Cold Stone Creamery. The store offers more than 100 rotating flavors of frozen yogurt and more than 70 toppings, which also get switched out on a regular basis. Customers can mix flavors like cake batter and pomegranate tart with toppings like fresh fruit, nuts, candies, hot fudges and caramels. One of their other unique trademarks is the free stickers and balloons they give out to kids…

You Said It: What Do You Want to See at Crocker Park?

Everyone has opinions. Patch is the place to share them!

Crocker Park has been announcing a lot of new stores and restaurants: Michael Symon's B-Spot, Ann Taylor LOFT, Zoup!, Anthropologie and BCBG What would you like to see move into the shopping center? Westlake Porter Public Library employee Zac Springer said he wants a Best Buy, or some other electronics shop besides the Apple store.

Gray House Pies Goes From Front Porch To Store Front, Opens Second Spot On Detroit Road

Fresh ingredients make for delectable pies, quiches, pub pies and even pie milkshakes at the new Westlake location.

Joe Schlott's first pie shop was in Fairview Park, but the opening today of  his second Gray House Pies shop on Detroit Road in Westlake is a homecoming of sorts. Schlott got his start baking out of his home on Bassett Road. At first his pies were only for family and friends, but eight years ago his wife Darlene talked him into selling them to other people from the porch. "We had this old farmhouse," Schlott said. "I really didn't expect anyone to stop, but the phones started ringing off the hook. People were saying it was the best pie they ever had." Sales took off, boosted by parishioners across the street at St. Ladislas Church who told their friends about the amazing pies they got at the Schlott’s big gray house. A light bulb went off…
