Ione M. Graves, Beloved Grandmother

Services will be held on Thursday, April 4.

Ione M. Graves, 97, of Westlake, passed away on March 30, 2013. Graves was the mother of Janet Ceepo (Gary) and Dean Graves (Linda). She was grandmother of two and great grandmother of five. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 4 at noon at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, 32340 Electric Blvd. in Avon Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Avon Lake Presbyterian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Jenkins Funeral Chapel.

William "Bill" Hackenberg,Grandfather of Five

William H. "Bill" Hackenberg, 64, died Jan. 17. He was born Feb. 23, 1948, in Cleveland to Mildred and the late William Hackenberg. Hackenberg was the beloved husband of Marybeth (Soeder) Hackenberg. He is also survived by children Michelle King (Colin) and Amy Brediger (Michael); grandchildren Riley, Connor, Logan, Luke and Ryan; and sister Carol Meininger (Gaylord). In Bill's words, "Take the time to kiss your wife and hug your kids and grandkids. Take the time to tell them you love them." Helen Amato, Mother of Three

Funeral services are Saturday morning

Helen (Kovanes) Amato, 88, of Westlake, died Jan. 9. She was born August 2, 1924, in Blacklick, Penn to the late Thomas and Ann Marie Kovanes. She grew up in Lorain. Amato joined the Nurses Cadets in 1944 and graduated from St. Luke's Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1947. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and church-related work and functions. She was the wife of the late August M. Amato for 43 years. Amato is survived by children Rosemarie, August (Danae) and Darlene (Jeffrey); grandchildren Anthony and Marissa Brusnahan and Lorenzo and Giada Amato; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. James Faile, Elder at Bay Presbyterian Church

James K. Faile, 80, of Westlake, died Jan. 7. He was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Cleveland. Faile graduated from the Ohio Weslyan University in 1954 and spent most of his career in banking. He was an active member and Elder at Bay Presbyterian Church. Faile is survived by children Jim (Chris), John (Tobi) and Karen Paterson (Dan); grandchildren Jamie (Colleen), Caroline, Jacob, Ellie, Luke, Corrie, Matt and Mark; and great-granchildren Alexis and Jack. Morkiawa was the daughter of the late Kahei and Tsuta Morikawa; sister of Itsu Nakatsuka, and the late James Morikawa, Mitsu Ito, Sumie Morikawa, Josie Uyeda. Dr. James Frackelton, Father of Three

A memorial service for Dr. James P. Frackelton, 85, of Westlake, who died Nov. 30, has been set for Saturday, Jan. 12. Dr. Frackelton was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn. He is survived by children  David D. Frackelton (Marta Mellinger), Scott P. Frackelton, and James R. Frackelton (Lori O.); stepson Marshall B. Wenger (Susan); and grandchildren Alexandra, Gillian and Jera Frackelton and Jennifer Wenger. The memorial service, which will be led by Rev. Gretchen Wang, Founding Member of Westlake Historical Society

Updated 2:50 p.m. Jan. 1 Gretchen Wang, 79, of Westlake, died Dec. 27. She was born Sept. 24, 1933, in Cleveland. Wang was the wife of the late John Wang. She is survived by children  James (Debbie), David (Tina), Robert (Judy), Thomas (Denise) and Julie (Shawn); ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also a founding member of the Westlake Historical Society.  "We are indebted to Gretchen for all she did to help and support our cause," the Society said in its January newsletter released Jan. 1. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Dover Congregational United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Anna Nemeth, 88, of Westlake, died Dec. 20. She was born Dec. 5, 1924 in Brestovac in what was then Yugoslavia to the late Wilhelm and Katarina (Lepold) Hehn. Nemeth was the wife of the late Ference Nemeth, and the mother of Attila Nemeth (Sandy), Hajnal Kezdi (Alex) and Priscilla Polomsky (Joseph). She is also survived by grandchildren Michael Kezdi (Shannon), Robert Kezdi (Natasa), Kristina Cox (Bryan), Thomas Nemeth (Corrie Celesnik), Elizabeth Polomsky and James Nemeth; great-grandchildren Gabriella and Olivia Kezdi; siblings Marie Hehn of Philadelphia, Elizabeth Hutflesz of Jois, Austria, Katarina Andriutsa of Philadelphia, and Martin Hehn (Ann) of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews both in the United States and Europe.
