A Night of Drinking Leads to Beer Casualty, Disorderly Conduct Charge

A man and a woman begin drinking...and then it gets bad.

A 48-year-old Cleveland woman and a 42-year-old Cleveland man spent the evening of Feb. 6 drinking at her Westlake apartment, and from there, things only went downhill. She then couldn't tell police officers anything besides her date of birth. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication. And she owes the cab driver $10. A 34-year-old Westlake man and a 33-year-old Avon Lake man got drunk and decided to go jump on a minivan in the Holiday Inn parking lot around 12:24 a.m. on Dec. 15, thinking it belonged to a friend of theirs. It didn't, and the family who was …

Is the problem no worse than in the past but now the arrests get more publicity? Rather than just hiring more police to chase down all these drunks, maybe we should start cracking down on the bars. What kind of bartender keeps serving …   more ›
