Get an early dose of the holiday spirit
It will definitely look a lot like Christmas at Crocker Park Saturday. The ninth annual Holiday Tree Lighting Extravaganza gets underway at 4 p.m. with entertainment from local organizations. An area youth with cancer will get a wish granted by Make-A-Wish with help from Menchie's. Santa Claus will arrive soon after, with the lighting of the 50-foot tree set for 7:30 p.m. A fireworks show will cap off the night. Are you going? Play is one of many things to do around town this weekend
This weekend is your last chance to catch Westlake High School's Center State Players in The Wizard of Oz at the Performing Arts Center. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings, with a Sunday matinee. Enjoy a family-friendly afternoon with the kids at a benefit for the Isaiah Project at Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve at 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be entertainment, an art show, raffles, crafts, caricature drawing, a pizza sale and a bake sale. Help an area family help other parents who have lost a child at Saturday's Abbey Rose Foundation benefit at Westlake Christian Church.
