For those desperate to lose weight and get healthy, surgery can be an answer.
Going under the knife, as they say, is not something most people take lightly. Even those men and women who have elective procedures to take a nip out of here and a tuck out of there, I hope at least think about inviting the risks of surgery into their healthy bodies. To Jake Barb, fitness is about goal setting and creating a lifestyle. In January, Barb, a certified personal trainer at Westlake Recreation Center and owner of Fit by Jake Performance Training, also in Westlake, launched the 60-day, 30,000 calorie challenge urging his clients and friends to join the program and become a part of the supportive community he created using the social networking site Facebook.
