New handheld devices mean faster service and more security.
It only takes about 10 minutes to get a gourmet burger at Michael Symon’s newest B Spot, opening today at Crocker Park. Thanks to high-tech point of sale devices, servers can put an order in to the kitchen without even leaving the table. “It’s all part of the concept,” said Sam Lindsley, director of operations for Michael Symon Restaurants. “It’s a quick-serve, fast, casual rock ‘n roll burger joint.” The new devices mean that the bartender can start making a drink while you’re still picking out burger toppings. “We want the servers to stay on the floor, not go in the back and wait in line for their turn to go on the computer,” Lindsley said. “This really improves the quality of service.” At the end of the meal, a server can swipe your …

Featuring burgers, brats, beers and more, the menu is enticing. 2) Westlake's James DiBiasio will play on the Prospect League All-Star team, a summer collegiate league today in Beckley, West Virginia. According to the Ohio Wesleyan University website, the second baseman led the Battling Bishops team with 17 stolen bases and came in 14th in the league with a batting average of .337. The Iron Chef himself will be on hand to welcome his newest beer, burgers and brats joint.
Michael Symon’s much-anticipated B Spot restaurant will open at 11 a.m. tomorrow, with the Iron Chef himself making a special appearance. Symon has incorporated all kinds of B-foods into the menu from handcrafted beers to brats, bologna and big salads. The main attraction, though, is Symon’s gourmet burgers like the “Symon Says,” topped with bologna, coleslaw, whip sauce and American cheese. “The excitement level on the street of people walking by and asking questions is very high,” said Sam Lindsley, director of operations for Michael Symon Restaurants. “We believe this is a very good location for us for now and 10 years from now and moving forward from there.” The newest of Symon’s restaurants opens on July 13 at Crocker Park, a day …

Michael Symon's popular B Spot restaurant is coming to Crocker Park. The new burger joint will open this summer in the location occupied by Agave Tequileria and Cocina at the north end of the shopping center. "We have a great existing relationship with B Spot," said Tom FitzSimmons, spokesman for Stark Enterprises, which handles leasing at Crocker Park. B Spot opened at their Eton complex in Woodmere about two yeas ago. "It has been a wild success and we're excited to have them. We think it's a great location." Agave Tequileria and Cocina management is looking at other options, but could not elaborate on a possible relocation elsewhere in Crocker Park or outside of the shopping complex.
