Tequila Recall Ordered by Ohio Liquor Control
State agency recalling 1800 brand "Silver" and "Reposado" tequila due to safety concerns about damaged glass bottle stoppers
The Department of Commerce, Division of Liquor Control (Division) is recalling 1800®-brand tequila “Silver” and “Reposado” in the 1.75 liter bottle due to safety concerns regarding damaged glass bottle stoppers. Customers who bought this product should return it to the Liquor Agency where it was purchased for a refund or exchange. The Division took immediate action to remove these items from the shelves of its Liquor Agencies. Shipments from the warehouses have also been halted. Based on the Division’s investigation, in the normal course of transit there was damage to some cases where some bottles appeared undamaged until they were opened and glass fell from the stopper into the bottle.
