Your Brain at Westshore

Head over to Westlake for a “Year of the Brain Interactive Event” on Wednesday, Sept. 11. This will be the first event for the “Year of the Brain” evening activities at the Tri-C Westshore Campus. “Your Brain @ Westshore” will be an interactive hour and a half, full of fun-filled activities for your brain, including a game table with puzzles and MENSA games, visual perception activity, EEGs, actual brains on display, and a variety of books. Free and open to the public.

Brighton Gardens of Westlake "Walk to End Alzheimer's" Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Head over to Brighton Gardens of Westlake's annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 13 from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Adults $10/Children $5 (check or cash only) Take Out Available. 100 percent of proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Association's "Walk to End Alzheimer's" event.  Call today to make your reservation by 9/10/13. Parenting Children Course

Advent Westlake will be offering the Alpha Parenting Children Course beginning Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m.  Dinner will be served at the beginning of the evening and childcare will be provided. The free course will run for ten weekly sessions, and includes a video presentation and discussion group.  To register call 440-871-6685 or email advent.church@sbcglobal.net.

 3rd Annual Crocker Park Wine Festival

The Crocker Park Wine Festival will take place on Friday, Sept. 13 from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 14 from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.  A benefit for health related charities in Cuyahoga County and beyond, the event is held at Crocker Park.
Guests will enjoy more than 150 wines from around the world, craft beer, spirits, delectable food from Bistro 83 and Manny's Mac & Cue, musical entertainment and interactive exhibits all weekend long. Tickets are available online atwww.crockerparkwinefestival.com for $22 in advance and $27 at the door.  10 taste tickets and a souvenir wine glass are included and additional taste tickets are $1 each on site. 

Youth Challenge Superhero Dash

28th Annual Race Day, 5K and 1M Walk/Roll is Saturday, Sept. 14 in Lakewood Park. 8 a.m. same-day registration, 9:15 a.m. 5K, 10 a.m. 1-mile Walk/Roll
Pre-registration - $15, $20 day of race. Ages 18 & under - $10.
