Westshore Republicans, Mother of Twins Sale: 5 Things

1. WestShore Republicans Inaugural Meeting

Sept. 18 at the Westlake Recreation Center. The West Side of Cuyahoga County has a new organization starting in September:  The WestShore Republicans are holding their inaugural meeting with guest Kevin O'Brien of the Plain Dealer and words from Senator Rob Portman.  All regional Republicans are encouraged to attend.

2. Westshore Mother of Twins Fall Sale

This popular event is Saturday, Sept. 21 in Rocky River.  8 a.m. Rocky River Recreation Center Memorial Hall, 21016 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River (Corner of Hilliard and Wagar).  More than 40 families selling gently used maternity, baby and kid’s clothing, toys and equipment. Homemade baked goods on sale. Cash only. Cost is $5 early bird 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. and $2 general admission (9 a.m. – noon.)

3. Post Mastectomy Wellness Series        

Exercise and discussion sessions for women within one year post-mastectomy. Topics include body image, posture, safe exercises, core strength, nutrition, and weight management. Meets Saturdays, Sept. 21 and 28, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Advance registration and written authorization from your physician required. For more information call 216-595-9546.

4. Westside Walk to Remember  

Join others to make this a world without Alzheimer's. The West Side Walk is Sept. 21 at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon (home to the Lake Erie Crushers) on Routes I-90 and 611. The activity begins at 8:30 a.m., the interactive Opening Ceremony at 9:30, and the 3-mile walk (or 1-mile option) at approximately 9:45. The festivities include a Kid Zone with special take-home projects thanks to Home Depot, a balloon clown, jugglers from Saint Ignatius Circus Company and more.  

5. Volunteer for Ingenuity Fest

Ingenuity Cleveland is currently recruiting volunteers for Ingenuity Fest to be held Sept. 20 – 22. The Festival’s organizers are looking for volunteers to assist with many tasks, such as greeting visitors, passing out programs, assisting artists, setting up before the event, selling merchandise, collecting surveys and more. Shifts are 3 - 4 hours
