5 Things to Know in Westlake This Week

Here's five things to get you started this week from "where do I sell it" to "I want to try it."

  • As of the beginning of this week,  there were 295 properties for sale in Westlake according to Zillow.  Houses ranged in price from $39,900 for a condominium to $1.9 million for an Arlington Road house.

  • Not too hot, not too cold. The week’s Westlake weather forecast is calling from temperatures ranging from 57 to 83. Dry lawn? Best bet for rain is Monday.
  • Westlake Community Time Plaza: The city's town clock was erected in 2011 in recognition of Westlake's Bicentennial but it’s not too late to buy a brick. Anyone wishing to commemorate a memory or greeting can purchase an engraved brick to be installed at the Westlake Community Time Plaza. Cost per brick is $50.   • The Civil War in Northern Ohio: On Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 7 ‐ 8:45 p.m., local historian/ author John Vacha will be at the Westlake Porter Library and will focus on life on the home front in Cleveland during the Civil War. Special focus will be onthe role played behind the front line by women and the Soldiers Aid Society. Please register at the library.
