Want A Kitten? Love-A-Stray Has Lots of Them!

Check out some of this year's bumper crop of kittens.

Kitten season is officially here and Love-A-Stray has more than 80 kittens available for adoption.

The "S" kittens are two calico girls and a tuxedo boy. Their names are Shine, Shimmer and Scott.

They were found and rescued by a couple in their 80s who were very anxious to find home for them. They are all friendly and social.

All the kittens available for adoption are spayed/neutered, are current on their shots, have been de-wormed and have had flea protection by the time of adoption. Call Marge at 440-777-1081 to make arrangements to go to Love-A-Stray's Avon shelter to see the kittens.

Kittens are also available for adoption every Saturday at the Great Northern PetSmart store from 10:30 am. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

I am an animal lover who has trapped and neutered a number of feral cats through the years. A friend of mine here in Fairview Park called me in May and said she had 4 baby kittens in her window well. I brought them home and took care of them because I didn't want them to starve to death. I found a wonderful home for 2 and kept the other 2 males. (I now have 4 cats and 2 dogs). There is a feral cat problem in Fairview Park in the Valley Forge area off W. 210th St. Unless I can trap and neuter the aduitls, the problem is going to continue. This may sound cruel but wouldn't it be better to have the babies humanely euthanized since there are so many and so few homes rather than have them become feral and reproducing all over again? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jeanine Minek - 331-2017
