Sixth White Cane Walk For Cleveland Sight Center Is Biggest Ever

This year's fundraiser at Crocker Park drew the largest crowd yet.

Saturday's White Cane Walk for the Cleveland Sight Center was the biggest one yet, drawing about 300 people from all over the area to Crocker Park.

"People get the chance to wear a blindfold and learn orientation mobility with a walking aid and they have a guide who takes them through Crocker Park," said  Corrie Taylor, chief development officer with the Cleveland Sight Center. "So they get a whole new experience where they get to experience Crocker Park blindfolded."

Participants could also learn how to pour liquids, play in a drum circle, do some yoga, hit and catch a baseball and do other activities without the aid of their sight.
