Margot Shumway's 2012 Olympics ended Friday with no medal.
and rowing teammate Sarah Trowbridge of Guilford, Conn., placed sixth in the finals of women's double sculls at Eton Dorney, outside London.
According to the official 2012 London Olympics website, Shumway and Trowbridge finished in 7 minutes, 10.54 seconds. That's 14.72 seconds behind the winners of the gold medal, Anna Watkins and Katherine Grainger of Great Britain (6:55.82).
Kim Crow and Brooke Pratley of Australia won the silver in 6:58.55. The Polish team of Magdalena Fularczyk and Julia Michalska took the bronze in 7:07.92.
The medalists were followed by teams from China and New Zealand, then Shumway and Trowbridge.
