We're heading into summer with a blast of summer heat for mid-week.
Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 94.
Summer begins at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday, and another day of sunny skies with a high of 94 degrees will bring it in. There's a chance of thunderstorms on Thursday with a high of 91.
Things will cool down into the 80s for the weekend.
Some reminders for heat wave safety:
- Never leave pets or children unattended in cars. Not even for "just a few minutes."
- Check on elderly family and neighbors.
- Know the symptoms of sunburn, heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and what to do about them.
