Demons rally for win over St. Ignatius

The baseball coach, who is , is going out in style as the Demons reached the OHSAA Division I regional baseball final with Thursday's 6-4 semifinal win over St. Ignatius.

Westlake trailed, 4-3, going into the seventh inning. But the Demons scored three in the top of the seventh to take the lead and held it.

Jamie Lackner went 2-for-2 for the Demons, with two RBI and two runs scored.

The Demons (23-6) play Ashland, which beat Oregon Clay, 5-2 in the other regional semifinal. Game time is 5 p.m. Friday at Nobby's Ballpark at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
