Westlake Grad Sinks 65-Foot Buzzer-Beating Shot

Rosa LaMattina hit the shot for Mount Union against Marietta.

Just about everyone who has ever dribbled a basketball has imagined hitting a buzzer-beating shot as time runs out.

Rosa LaMattina of Westlake got to live the dream.

LaMattina, a senior guard for University of Mount Union, nailed a 65-foot shot as time expired in the first half of the Purple Raiders' game against Marietta on Jan. 9. Mount Union went on to a 68-35 win as LaMattina scored 16 points.

LaMattina was first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference last season, and first team WBCA All-America. She is averaging 17 points a game this season for the Purple Raiders.  

At Westlake High School, LaMattina was MVP of the Southwestern Confernce, and first team All-Conference. She is majoring in computer media at Mount Union.

I think Enterprise was going to move there, since BMW is moving to where Enterprise is.

No, it is kitty-corner to the existing gas station & is new construction
