VIDEO: Westlake Girls Beat Cloverleaf, 56-42

The Westlake Demons girls basketball team overcame an early 10-0 deficit to beat the Cloverleaf Colts, 56-42, in the Division I Medina District tournament held at Medina High School on Thursday night.
Cloverleaf (13-10) led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter and 27-24 at the half. Westlake (20-3) poured it on in the third quarter, scoring 20 points for the quarter and outscoring the Colts by 17 in the second half (32-15).
Demons' senior and team co-captain scored a career-high 34 points, including going 5-for-5 at the free throw line.

Junior Shelby Dearth led the Colts' in scoring with 19 points.
Westlake's next game is on Saturday afternoon against Brunswick (13-10) at Medina High School. Game time will be 1:00 p.m.
