How to Get Your Sports Team Featured on Patch

Fall sports are underway and Westlake Patch wants to help you share all your team's news with the community.

Parents, athletes, coaches, team managers, booster club members and fans can all get involved. News about any team from high school to middle school to youth program to recreation league is welcome.

Here are four ideas to get you started.

1. Blog about your team. Share game results, team stats, game recaps, photos and videos in your posts. What's great about blogging is that you can posts whenever you like, as often as you like. Talk about the team and what's going on. Just remember to keep it civil.
2. Put your team's schedule, fundraisers and other events on our calendar. Bring more fans to your games and let everyone know about fundraisers, benefits and other events with our free event listings. You can even add photos to help draw more attention to the event.
3. Connect with Westlake Patch on Facebook and Twitter. Does your team have its own Facebook page and Twitter account? Don't forget to tag Westlake Patch in your posts to help get the word out.
4. Share photos in our Pic & Clips community photo gallery. Show off your photos from games and practices.
