Camp Directors Steve Beans and Laura DiPaola, have been teaching professionals (USPTA) in the area for more than 10 years. We will provide young players the opportunity to improve their tennis game and make new friends. Students will be placed based on level of ability, along with friendship if coming with a friend. Classes will focus each week on a specific

theme for the day:  Campers will receive one T-shirt for the summer. Register by Friday before new session begins. QuickStart Beginner Tennis: developed by the United StatesTennis Association (USTA) Quickstart is a format to help kids learn and play the game on a smaller scale and will be used when needed for students 10 & under. What to bring: tenis racquet, water bottle, hat, sunscreen and a snack.

Group 1:  ages 6-10- This program will introduce players to the fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, volleys and serve. Students will practice various skills in groups through station courts. Quickstart techniques and equipment will be used to teach scoring and rallying.  Time is 9:00-10:30am daily.

Group 2:  ages 10-14- Players are just beginning to play on their own. Service and consistency skills will be emphasized. The goal is to develop good consistency on all strokes through instruction and games.  Lessons are from 10:30am to noon daily.

Group 3:  ages 14-18- Students are beginning to show keen interest in tennis and are looking to play on their high school teams. Our goal is to focus on all the fundamentals of the game. (Technique, footwork, and consistency through drills and play) Lessons are from 1:30-3pm daily.
