1) The National Weather Service is predicting a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms today. It's going to be hot again with a high near 88 degrees. Tonight, experts are expecting showers and thunderstorms with less than a tenth of an inch of rain. Tonight's low will be around 67 degrees.

2) Tuesdays are free for kids at the Great Lakes Science Center! Every child under 18 years old, accompanied by an adult gets free admission from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call the center at 216-694-2000.

4) Today is Walt Whitman's birthday. A poet, journalist, government worker, volunteer nurse, and often called the "Father of Free Verse," Whitman is most famous for poems like O Captain! My Captain!, I Hear America Singing and I Sit and Look Out.
