5 Things to Know Today: Tuesday, July 5

Bloodmobiles, sunny weather, breast cancer awareness, the Cleveland Indians versus the New York Yankees and the Youth Tennis Academy top today's list.

1) The American Red Cross Bloodmobile is coming to a library near you. From 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. today at , folks are welcome to help a good cause and donate blood in the Porter Room. For more information, call 440-871-2600.

2) Get out to or one of Westlake’s many hotspots to enjoy today’s 85 degree high. With sunny skies and only a ten percent chance of precipitation, now’s the time to break out the sunscreen and have a little fun in the sun.

3) is coming to 800 Sharon Drive between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. tonight. The drop-in group will council young women who are facing cancer and will offer support, information and insights on this prevalent disease. For more information, call 216-595-9546.

4) Interested in seeing the New York Yankees play at Progressive Field? The Yanks only come to Cleveland once a year and will play their second of a three-game series tonight against the Tribe. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.  

5) Improve your tennis game and make new friends at the this summer. Camp directors Steve Beans and Laura DiPaola will place  students based on their skill level and focus on a different theme each day. Sessionx run Monday thru Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Westlake Recreation Center. For more information regarding fees and registration, call 440-808-5700.
