WHS Student Earns Nearly Perfect SAT Score

junior Aakash Shah scored a perfect 1600 on the critical reading and math sections of the SAT, and 780 out of 800 on the writing section.

Aakash is keeping his options open for his future, although he is leaning toward a career in medicine. His father, Rajiv Shah, is a radiologist at MetroHealth Medical Center. He recently interviewed for a spot in the Cleveland Clinic’s Summer Internship Program, where he hopes to study public health. 

“I feel like I really want to make an impact, and public health is one way to do that,” he said.

Aakash is a first-year flute player with the Symphonic Band and president of the high school’s Academic Challenge club.

On the athletic side, Aakash was JV captain of the WHS tennis team in his sophomore year. This year he is playing on the Varsity tennis team. He also is vice president of the WHS Frisbee Club.
