Westlake Special Needs Students Honored for Outstanding Work

Jennie Bullard honored for work at Rae-Ann nursing home.

Westlake High School special needs student Jennie Bullard has been nominated to receive the Lakewood/Rocky River Rotary Outstanding Student Award for her exceptional accomplishments in her West Shore Career-Technical program.

West Shore districts are Bay Village, Lakewood, Rocky River and Westlake. This year West Shore is serving 491 students in its workforce development programs.

Bullard is in the Community Based Training program at RaeAnn Suburban Skilled Care. Her award recognizes students who are the top performers in their Career- Technical program. She will be acknowledged at the Lakewood/Rocky River Rotary recognition luncheon on March 11 at the Rocky River Civic Center.

Valentine also honored

Another special needs student, Lauren Valentine, was nominated to receive the 2013 Lakewood Chamber of Commerce/Lakewood-Rocky River Sunrise Rotary Work Ethic Award for exemplary performance in a West Shore Career Technical District program.

The Work Ethic Award recognizes students for their commendable attendance, attitude and achievement. She was recognized at the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce’s recognition breakfast on Feb. 22.
