Westlake High Students Win Speech Contest

Junior Elizabeth Kobe will move on to the district contest.

junior Elizabeth Kobe won the Westlake-Bay Village Rotary Club’s Four Way Speech Contest, and will advance to the district contest.

Kobe won $100 for her speech on cell phone addiction, and junior Sairekha Ravichandran won third place and $25 for her speech on dreams.

Senior Tom Carroll and junior Aakash Shah also participated in the contest.

Kobe will move on to the district level contest to be held March 31 at Aurora High School, where she will compete for cash prizes of $750 for first place, $650 for second place, $550 for third place and $200 each for fourth and fifth places.
