Westlake High Students Named to OMEA Regional Orchestra

Orhcestra will play next month at Cleveland State University

Three musicians at Westlake High School have been named to the 2012-2013 Ohio Music Education Association Northeast Regional Orchestra.

The students are Alex Ikezawa, Christa Beyer and Taeho Kim.

Kim has also been chosen as a top chair in the string section to perform with the  All State Orchestra.

The Northeast Regional Orchestra takes the top student musicians from 145 school districts spanning several counties in Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania.

Each fall, the orchestra performs in a festival with a visiting clinician. This year's festival will be at Cleveland State University on Nov. 4 and will feature Arthur Pranno from Florida Southern University.
