Support Westlake Teachers on World Teachers' Day

Who was your favorite teacher? Which teacher makes your child smile? Share the love here.

World Teachers' Day was created by UNESCO -- the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -- in 1994.

The purpose of World Teachers' Day is, according to UNESCO, "(to call) attention to the need to raise the status of the profession - not only for the benefit of teachers and students, but for society as a whole, to acknowledge the crucial role teachers play in building the future."

In the spirit of World Teachers' Day, let's pay tribute to the teachers that helped us struggle through fractions, celebrated our spelling bee success, inspired us to try something new, or made a bad day better with a smile or supportive word.
