Some residents expressed concerns about the latest plans at Thursday night's council meeting, especially about storm water drainage, landscape buffering and traffic.

Ken Veneri, a Bassett Road resident, said he is worried about the traffic going north on Dover Center Road, trying to turn left onto Bassett, as well as drainage issues. Joyce Blakely, another Bassett Road resident said she and three of her neighbors were flooded during the last storm.

"We can only imagine its because the trees were removed in the area for construction," she said.

Several other residents stated that they are worried about landscaping around the front drive on Bassett Road, saying that headlights from cars going around the turn will shine right at their houses.

"We'll make it a priority to fix that," said Superintedent Dan Keenan. "We're going to continue to listen to the community and do whatever the budget will allow."

According to Kim Bonvissuto, spokesperson for the school district, mobile units are being installed at four elementary schools and will be ready by the time school starts in the fall.

City officials will review final construction plans before the buildings start to go up.
