Westlake Honors Fallen Soldiers On Memorial Day

City officials, local organizations and residents participated in a parade and ceremony to remember our nation's fallen heroes.

The Westlake Kiwanis gave area residents a chance to step back and reflect on the sacrifices of fallen veterans Monday morning.

Maj. Gen. Fred Lick, Jr. presented a speech, and fallen soldiers from the Westlake or Dover area were honored with a memorial flag. Afterward, the Bay Village Post 385 American Legion gave a 21 gun salute, followed by "Echo Taps."

Check back tomorrow for more photos and video footage of the ceremony!
