Ward 4 Residents Invited To Learn More About Recent Flooding

Councilman Michael O'Donnell and City Engineer Robert Kelly will hold meeting March 24.

Ward 4 residents affected by the Feb. 28 flood will be able to learn more about what happened and how to prevent future flooding at a community meeting at 6 p.m. March 24 at City Hall, 27700 Hilliard Blvd.

The meeting will be hosted by Ward 4 Councilman Michael O’Donnell and City Engineer Robert Kelly.

“We’re inviting everyone in the lower Dover area,” Kelly said. “A lot of people had some basement flooding and flooding in yards, driveways and streets. We’re getting them all together to tell them what we found out from the flood. There was significant flooding north of the freeway off of Dover Road.”

Kelly said his department is still putting all of the pieces together and should have more information available next week.

“We’re still going out and collecting information,” Kelly said. “We’re going to give some short and long term solutions to the flooding problems.”
