Right Turns on Red From Clemens onto Southbound Crocker Banned

Council approves ban to ease traffic

While improvements to the area around the intersection of Crocker and Clemens Roads are coming, the city is taking steps to ease the congestion in the meantime.

approved an ordinance at Thursday's meeting that will ban right turns on red from Clemens Road eastbound onto Crocker Road southbound betwee 4 and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Right turns on red will also be prohibited from 7 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. on school days.

Work on the  will be completed in 2013.

This was the last meeting of council before its summer recess. There will be no meetings until Sept. 6.
