Recreation Center Closed This Week and Next for Annual Maintenance
Members can use nearby facilities in Rocky River and Fairview Park.
's annual maintenance program starts Monday and will close down the building through Aug. 14. The aquatics center and gym will be closed through Aug. 21.
Accoring to Ann Hollows, assistant manager at the center, workers will be cleaning all of the rooms and redoing the floors.
The Rec Center will be open Aug. 8-12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for business transactions only. The center will be closed Aug. 13-14.

That's not an excuse to slack off on the gym routine though. Westlake Rec members can use Peterson Pool at , Rocky River outdoor pool or the Fairview Park Gemini Center during maintenance. Members can also take classes and bring guests, but must pay the facility's currents rates. For more information on the co-op program, call 440-808-5700.

Note that Rocky River and Fairview Park also have upcoming maintenance closures:
Fairview Park Gemini Center will be closed Aug. 15 to 21, with the pools staying closed through Aug. 28.
The Rocky River Civic Center is undergoing extensive building repairs. The indoor pool will remain closed through Sept. 4. The water zone and outdoor pool will be open Aug. 15 through 28.
