Mayor Clough to Speak at League of Women Voters Event

The forum is set to discuss voter education on regionalism and collaboration.

Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough will be speaking at a League of Women Voters forum on April 16.

It is the second of three voter education forums on regionalization and collaboration at the Dwyer Senior Center in Bay Village.

Clough will discuss the history andbackground of the Westshore Council on Government (WCOG), according to a press release.

Lakewood Mayor Mike Summers will discuss current issues and collaborations’ that concern the WCOG and future plans and collaborations of the group.

WCOG Finance Officer Steve Presley will discuss the operation of WCOG.

Audience questions areencouraged after the speakers’ comments.

The Bay Village, Rocky River, Fairview Park, Lakewood and Westlake/North Olmsted Chapters of the League of Women Voters-Cuyahoga Area are sponsoring the event.

The third forum on the prospective merger of fire departments is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, 7 p.m. at Fairview Park Library.
