Happy Anniversary, Westlake Porter Library!

Building's 10-year anniversary celebration is today

will celebrate 10 years in its current building on Monday with an all-day celebration.

During the day, visitors can check out a display covering the last 10 years and all that has come to the library. There will be cookies and giveaways.

At 7 p.m., a donor recognition wall will be dedicated.

The current library was completed in 2002, doubling its size from the original 1985 building. Over the years, other changes have come, including the Bernice Yates Community Reading Garden, and new technology such as e-books.

I love the drive up window. I can pick up stuff I order on line without having to leave my car. I can also go to the drive up boxes to return my stuff. EXCELLENT.
