Free Tax Prep Help At Tri-C

Want to make sure you get every penny of your tax return? 

Cuyahoga Community College is hosting walk-in tax assistance, and two special Super Tax Refund Saturdays for those that qualify.

“Each year, millions of dollars in refunds go unclaimed by individuals filing tax returns,” said Michael Taylor, senior vice president, PNC Community Development Banking. “We look forward to again helping to efficiently deliver tax refunds to local families and communities most in need.”

Walk-in hours at are from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays Feb. 7 through April 3, except on March 15, in room 213.

IRS-certified tax-preparers will help you complete your returns while you wait. All returns are scanned for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit.

To qualify, you must have earned an income of less than $49,000 last year and be filing a simple return.

Make sure to bring photo identification, a social security card for each person on the return (including children), W2 and 1099 statements, form 1099-INT for any checking or savings accounts, as well as bank account and routing numbers for a direct deposit or refund.

Super Tax Refund Saturdays will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and April 14 at the Tri-C Metropolitan Campus, 2900 Community College Ave. Appointments are suggested for these dates and can be made by calling 2-1-1 or 216-436-2000 and asking for the Metro campus.
