Residents came to Westlake Patch for local election results

While the re-election of Barack Obama as president was the big story of the Nov. 6 election, there were other matters for Westlake residents to vote on at the polls.

They came -- and kept coming -- to Westlake Patch on Election Night for the . Those results, updated througout the night, were the fifth most-popular story on Westlake Patch in 2012.

There were no city or school board offices up for vote this year. But Westlake did play a role in the national campaign, as Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan held a rally at the Westlake Recreation Center. Libertarian Party vice-presidential candidate Judge Jim Gray made a campaign stop at Dean's Greenhouse.

Some of the highlights were:

  • Nan Baker wins re-election to the Ohio House of Representatives
  • Port Authority levy defeated
  • How Westlake voted in election

I think Enterprise was going to move there, since BMW is moving to where Enterprise is.
