UPDATE: Cuyahoga County Sheriff Resigns

Bob Reid had been sheriff since 2009

Updated 4:15 p.m.

The office of County Executive Ed Fitzgerald has released an official statement regarding Cuyahoga County Sheriff Bob Reid’s resignation.

“After two years of work, it provides an opportunity for members of the leadership team and our administration to see where things stand and to make decisions in order to make our government work effectively as possible,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, the executive’s office is reviewing leadership across all departments.

The statement adds that Clerk of Courts Gerald Fuerst announced his retirement last week, and that other leadership changes may be announced soon. Frank Bova, a former interim county sheriff, will again fill that role while the search for a new sheriff is underway.

Fitzgerald added that the county respects Reid’s “long commitment to public service” in the county.

There is way more to this story. I do not think the reporters are asking the right questions. Bob Reid has been a good Sheriff, and I think Feank Bova can do well if Mr. Ed allows him to. Cuyahoga County citizens wake up>>>>>>>>>more to this story.

I think Enterprise was going to move there, since BMW is moving to where Enterprise is.
