Cell Phone Tower Gets Another Hearing, Vote

City Council scheduled to vote on tower at tonight's meeting after a public hearing

The proposed cell phone tower that would be built at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is back before City Council in Thursday's meeting.

A continuation of the public hearing is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, followed by the regular meeting of City Council, where a vote is scheduled.

The vote was postponed from the Jan. 3 meeting, after residents voiced concerns and the possibility of alternative sites were brought up.

The proposed tower would be 100 feet tall, and about 300 feet from the nearest residence. Alternative sites mentioned at the Jan. 3 meeting include the Post Office and Westlake Porter Library.

I think Enterprise was going to move there, since BMW is moving to where Enterprise is.
