4) Ohio health officials are investigating a salmonella outbreak belived to have spread from baby chicks and ducklings, reports Reuters. According to the Ohio Department of Health , eight cases of the illness have been reported in association with chicks or ducklings from Mt. Healthy Hatchery. Cases of the illness have been reported in Ashtabula, Columbiana, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Licking, Medina and Wood counties, reports Fox 8.
