Woman Wakes Neighbors Over Strange Suspicion and More Crime

Woman Wakes up Neighbors

A 25-year-old Canterbury Road woman woke up her neighbors at about 12:30 a.m. Feb. 12 because she was concerned that they might have been the victims of a burglary. The woman's brother's home in Brook Park had just been broken into  and she was worried that her neighbors had also been victims. Police tried to calm the woman down, but eventually arrested her for disorderly conduct intoxicated.

A Westlake woman called police Feb. 10 after she told her 48-year-old son he could use her car for two days, but kept it for a week. One of her other sons found the car at a home in Euclid, and notified the Euclid police. Officers from Westlake and Euclid got the car, and returned it to the woman. They arrested the son for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Church Broken Into, Nothing Stolen

A member of a Hilliard Boulevard church found that an office door had been forced open at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 11. Police found that file and desk drawers had been rummaged through, but nothing was missing. Officers found no signs of a forced entry and have no suspects.
