Woman Returns From Overseas, House Sitters Steal Car

A Halls Carriage Path woman suspects house sitters have made off with her 2003 Pontiac minivan sometime since June of 2012. She has been overseas and returned home on June 23 to find her home trashed and the van gone. The victim reported the matter on June 30; the suspects have reportedly left Ohio.

Also in the blotters: Fireworks in front of cop car, drunk boyfriend annoys

A 20-year-old Westlake man learned the folly of throwing firecrackers out of his vehicle in front of a police car at Center Ridge and Dover Center roads on July 4 at 1:10 a.m.  He was cited for Noise Disturbance; an illegal knife and the rest of his fireworks were confiscated.

An intoxicated 42-year-old Cleveland man made himself unwelcome by pounding on doors and shouting at his girlfriend’s Detroit Road apartment when she would not let him in at almost 2 a.m. on July 4, annoying the neighbor who called in the complaint. The drunk beau was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct.
