Woman Causes Crash, Flees Scene With Son

A 25-year-old Bay Village woman fled the scene of an accident at Crocker and Clemens roads with her 4-year-old son at about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 8. Westlake police say she caused the accident. Officers found her at her Bay Village home and arrested her for operating a vehicle intoxicated, hit-skip, disobeying a traffic control device, child endangering and blood alcohol content after she blew a .283 in a breath test.

A 39-year-old Westlake man hit a light pole on Pineview Drive at about 10:45 p.m. Feb. 8. Police found him at home nearby, and arrested him for operating a vehicle intoxicated, failure to control, hit-skip and open container for an open found in his car. The man refused a breath test at the jail.

A 27-year-old woman reported a fight with her 25-year-old husband at her Center Ridge Rd. apartment at about 2 a.m. Feb. 9. The couple is divorcing and lives apart. The husband came to the woman's home and they argued over his motorcycle. The husband choked, slapped and bit the victim. He was gone when police arrived. Officers are getting a warrant for domestic violence.
