Woman Ditches 12-Year-Old in Crocker Park Store; Steals Speakers

This week in the blotters:

Here’s one woman who won’t be up for Mother of the Year. Westlake Police say a 44-year-old Mayfield Heights woman with a long list of aliases and arrests stole two speakers  valued at $400 from a Crocker Park Boulevard store on the evening of  June 15.

She tried to ditch them in a parking garage, just like she ditched her 12-year-old daughter by leaving her behind in the store.

The woman was arrested on two counts of theft, Possession of Criminal Tools (the purse she hid the speakers in), Criminal Trespassing, Child Endangering and Obstructing Official Business (for running away when told to stop).

Also in the blotters:

A Bay Village man’s 2004 Chevrolet Blazer had the driver’s window broken on June 16 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:5 p.m. while her car was parked at Red Fitness on Columbia Road. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Two sisters, one from Warrensville Heights and the other from Georgia, had their purses stolen while at Dave and Busters on June 18. They thought they had lost the keys to their mom’s 2003 Toyota Avalon, but found them by the car; the unknown suspect(s) used the keys to take the purses from the trunk. Each had charges made on their respective stolen debit cards; the investigation continues.
