Westlake Woman Overdoses on Heroin, $8400 in Tech Items Stolen: Blotters

This week in the Westlake Police blotters:

A Windrush Drive resident called for police assistance on July 17 at 10:38 a.m when her roommate would not respond to her or open the bathroom door. Officers also received no response and so forced open the door, finding the 29-year-old occupant lethargic from having injected herself with heroin. She was transported to St. John Medical Center for treatment, then released and arrested for Possession of Hypodermics. The suspect also had an active warrant from Chagrin Falls Police Department.

Game system, camera stolen from garage

Two game systems and a video camera (total value $8,400) were taken from a Muirfield Way home’s garage on July 15 between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  The pedestrian door to the garage was found ajar. The victim reported seeing an unfamiliar vehicle in the area on that date and on July 12. It was a beige Oldsmobile occupied by a white female with reddish hair; she was in the driver’s seat. A white male was also in the car; he had a beard and was wearing a black hoodie.

Store cameras catch employee stealing cell phone

On July 20, a Westlake woman reported leaving her $500 cellphone on the counter of a Detroit Road store after checking out on July 15. It was not turned in to the lost and found; store CCTV showed a male employee taking it. A warrant for Petty Theft will be obtained.
