Two Men Arrested After Thefts From Cars

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two Westlake men are facing multiple charges after 13 vehicles were rummaged through in the area of Southbridge Circle, Fall River Drive, Sherwood Drive, and Dunford Avenue the morning of July 8.

began getting reports of the incidents just before 8:30 a.m. that day. There were no signed of forced entry into the cars, but items stolen included GPS units, wallets, purses, tools and cash.

The investigation let to a search warrant for a home on Hummingbird Circle that afternoon. A 19-year-old man is facing 11 counts of receiving stolen property, while a 21-year-old man is charged with 13 counts of receiving stolen property.

Many of the stolen items were found and are being returned to to their owners.
