Thief Targets University Hospital Workers

The following information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two University Hospitals employees were victims of theft right before Christmas.

One employee had her wallet taken out of her desk sometime between 12:15 and 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 21. She told Westlake Police the wallet contained credit cards.

A second employee's purse was also taken. It contained at least $60 in cash, credit cards and an iPod.

Neither of the victims' credit cards were used fraudulently.

A male described to police as "suspicious" was seen in the building shortly after 2 p.m. The license plate of the car he left in was given to police. The investigation is continuing.
