Stolen Tow Truck Turned Out to Be No Bargain

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old man who lives on Center Ridge Road got something else when he bought a used tow truck in February for $700.

He got criminal charges.

The 1995 Ford tow truck was found at his home on May 31 when were investigating another matter. When the officer saw there were no license plates and checked the vehicle identification number, he found out it was stolen in Cleveland.

The man, who admitted buying the truck without getting a title for it, was charged with receiving stolen property. The truck was towed.
